Merry Christmas.

More demo and repairs over Columbia street.
On the roof. Strapped-in and dodging pigeons doing flybys.
Hey Mike P.
Thanks for being an unsung hero to the people of Campbellsville and the Merchant Tower project.
Your blood, sweat, and tears decorate the building, literally.
Blog words can’t express my gratitude. But, I’ll try - Thank you.

P.S. Thanks to all.
May-August 2009 – More repairs to windows, roofing, and brick.
Roofing on 3rd story.
The slope roof that forms the city skyline is salvageable.
Here’s a shocker. Glass windows are on the premise. Some attempt is being made to install them by vendor(s) who do this for a living.
April 2009 – More bracing and demolition. Window repairs using brick below the stone level.
March 2009: A plan reveals itself on how to overcome numerous load bearing issues.
Worked on job site logistics, bracing and teardown.
Finally, a strategy to demolish portions of the 3rd story wood rot and 40 foot high weak brick wall is devised (brick-by-brick).
March 18th 2009: Opened the building for the 2009 season. It was a long winter.
We began work on the www.downtowncampbellsville.com project to promote the value of historic downtown online. Merchant Tower is a key component.
December 2008: Christmas lights hang from balcony for the 1st time in 20 years. Harsh winds blow apart the 2nd story entryway. More plywood added on the windows to keep the wind forces out.
